Teacher of Geography for September 2019

The School which is based in the coastal town of Bognor Regis, is looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join them in September on a full time, permanent basis. The school are looking to enhance their Geography provision across their Secondary phase and in order to achieve this, they need an ambitious Teacher who is passionate about teaching, learning and Geography as a whole.

The KS3 curriculum is delivered with a great emphasis on providing a range of activities, and offsite teaching and learning strategies to encourage their students to become independent learners. Their approach is a creative one and has seen impressive progress made by all of their learners as a result.

At GCSE and A Level, the school currently delivers the AQA curriculum, chosen for its good balance between physical and human Geography. The School is currently developing its Sixth Form and KS5 provision, providing new opportunities for Staff in the coming years. The subject is a popular one at the School and last summer the department achieved a positive progress score. They have more examination classes than most other Schools with more students opting to take the subject at GCSE/A Level.

The school are interested in NQTs, recently qualified Teachers and more experienced Teachers who are:

Applicants must have UK QTS or be an OTT with suitable experience. The School may consider UQTs, however they must be well qualified in Geography with prior teaching experience.
