Teacher of Food Technology- South Manchester- January 2019

Teaching Personnel are working closely with an Ofsted graded Good secondary school in South Manchester to recruit for a Teacher of Food Technology on a full-time basis from January 2019. This position represents an excellent opportunity for a high achieving Teacher of Food Technology Teacher to earn a fixed-term/permanent contract at the school. The school are particularly seeking a Teacher of Food Technology who has a track record of delivering success at both Key Stages:

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)
• Two term vacancy
• School located in South Manchester with excellent public transport links

The role-

Due to a current gap within the Food Technology faculty, our partner school are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Food Technology initially on a supply basis. The incoming Teacher of Food Technology will join the school at an exciting time in their development. Further, the school's Senior Leadership team were recently praised by Ofsted for their high expectations of the pupils.

The successful Teacher of Food Technology will have access to modern teaching facilities due to a recent investment in the classrooms. Pupils enjoy studying Food Technology with lessons often displaying positive learning environments.

The school-

Our partner secondary school is smaller than the average size with just under 800 pupils currently on roll. Most students are from White British background. At present, the proportion of those known to be eligible for support through the pupil premium is slightly higher than the national average at present.

It is located within South Manchester which offers excellent accessibility to the areas of Wythenshawe, Stockport and Tameside via the M60 motorway. It is also situated close to the M56 which offers direct access to Altrincham, Timperley and Sale. For those requiring public transport, there are direct bus links from as far as Manchester city centre.
