Teacher of Female PE- Wigan

Teaching Personnel have been approached by one of our Ofsted rated GOOD schools within the Wigan area to recruit for a Teacher of Female PE. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Female PE to join a school on its way to Outstanding.

This role will be to teach the PE curriculum to Key Stages 3 & 4. The position is to start after the Easter holidays and is to cover an upcoming gap within the PE department. This is initially a two term vacancy and there is also the potential of a fixed term/permanent contract being offered dependant upon effectiveness within the role.

The PE department consists of a dedicated team who strive to continually improve results year on year. The incoming PE teacher will join experienced teachers who work coherently to ensure PE is a subject that pupils enjoy studying and make it accessible for all regardless of ability level.

In its most recent Ofsted report, the school achieved a GOOD. Within the inspection, the pupil's behaviour and attitudes to learning were particularly highlighted as a strength. This allows for effective teaching to take place with minimal disruption across the whole school.

The school is located close the East Lancashire Road near the areas of Tyldesley and Astley. This offers excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas with Ashton-in-Makerfield and the boroughs of Salford and Bolton only a short drive away.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
