Are you seeking a new and exciting challenge, where you can shape and transform young people's outlook on education? Would you like to gain recognition for your skills and abilities to engage with the most difficult of students and enhance their ability to achieve academically?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of English to work with one of our partnership schools in Scarborough. The position is teaching 5 days a week, with opportunities for both part time and full time teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for all of the planning, teaching and assessments involved with the role. NQTs are welcome to apply.

This position can be challenging at times, but is a rewarding opportunity for a committed, ambitious and talented professional. You will work in partnership with the School's Tuition Co-Ordinator to develop the education of their students, through your input and innovation. The school is a place where teachers make a difference every day to the life chances of its students. The Governors and Headteacher are ambitious for every one of its students.

What you will require:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Evidence of strong classroom control
  • A proven track record of being able to teach, plan and prepare lessons to OFSTED standards
  • Have a creative approach to working with children from disaffected backgrounds and in turn, increase attainment levels
  • The ability to be proactive and have a passion for your given subject
  • A Child Only DBS that is registered with Teaching Personnel, or one done through Teaching Personnel

  • Rates of pay are competitive and fair to the role you are undertaking, in-line with Agency Worker Regulations and start at £110 per day, up to £150 per day for more experienced teachers
