An 'Outstanding' secondary school in Leyland with a proud history of academic excellence, are currently recruiting for a Teacher of English to start in September, to cover a Maternity leave. You will be teaching English and English Literature to KS3 & KS4, following the EDUQAS GCSE Exam board.

You will be responsible for:

  • Teaching a variety of classes
  • A Form Group
  • Delivering some PSHE

You will be provided with:

  • Laptop Computers
  • Dedicated staffroom
  • CPD Training
  • A silent staffroom dedicated for work
  • Onsite fitness suite

The school is one of the most successful schools in the county, and in 2018, English achieved a progress 8 score +0.2, placing it in the second quintile for achievement nationally.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold degree qualification in appropriate subject
  • Have QTS
  • Be an excellent practitioner and be able to become an outstanding teacher
  • Be fluent in the use of ICT for learning, teaching and administration
