Teacher of Citizenship/Sociology needed in Pontefract School

My client Secondary school in Pontefract have requested a Teacher of KS4 Citizenship/Sociology to start from January on a long-term basis. This school is part of a multi-academy trust and striving towards Good by Ofsted with a brand new Headteacher on board.

My secondary school client is looking for the following:

  • Extensive subject knowledge of Citizenship and Sociology
  • Flexible to teach up to KS4 in both subjects
  • Willingness to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Individuals who are wanting to work as part of a team to achieve the best results possible

This school is very easily accessible with a short 10 minute journey from the M62 with excellent transport routes. It is situated in the heart of Pontefract and with the introduction of many new facilities on site this is a great time to join a thriving secondary school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
