SEMH Teacher needed in Portsmouth!

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher on behalf of our client based in Portsmouth. This Ofsted rated outstanding SEMH provision is currently recruiting a new member of staff after an increased pupil intake, moving from 22 to close to 50.

This independent provision has been rated outstanding for the last 2 years and has been providing outstanding educational and emotional support for pupils at the primary and secondary level with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. The school has recently received increased funding and is now implementing new activity strategies.

Pupils:

Attending pupils (children, teenagers and young adults) at this provision demonstrate a variety of complex Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The types of needs includes: Autism, Mild-to-Severe Learning Difficulties and associated needs.

All pupils are working to statemented Education, Health and Care Plans.

Training and experience:

  • Bachelors / PGCE - Minimum of 2:2
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Overseas Qualified Teacher
  • Minimum of two years experience
  • TEAM TEACH / PECS / MAPA / MAKATON

Accessibility:

The school is very accessible with its own car park on site and being accessible by public transport routes. Access to your own vehicle is preferred as some pupils may need to be taken off site.
