An exceptional school in Southampton are looking to take on a Fully Qualified Teacher who will bring their adaptable and innovative personality to the national curriculum in order to teach a KS1 class of 25 pupils from September.

The school is is a fantastic environment in which to develop and further your teaching career in a rewarding, supportive and professional atmosphere. The position is full time and is set to last 2 terms, with the opportunity of a permanent contract being offered depending on how you and the class progress.

Ideal applicants will:

  • Have their own means of transport
  • Have a professional level of classroom management skills
  • Possess Extensive knowledge of the curriculum
  • Be able to motivate and encourage primary school children to learn
  • Engage and motivate pupils by making classes interactive and stimulating

You will be supported by a qualified Teaching Assistant who will provide overall class support, as well as work within small groups and on a 1 to 1 basis with pupils.

Successful applicants will be required to interview and potentially teach a planned lesson of your choice that is relevant to the class’s particular area of the national curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
