A number of schools in the Manchester area are wanting to bring in a Learning Support Assistant to help those students who require that additional support.

The schools in hand are looking to appoint someone as soon as possible, in order to help with the student’s progression and development in certain areas. This would mainly consist of working 1:2:1, or within small groups of pupils, who may be underachieving or not reaching certain targets. Therefore, the responsibilities within the job role will consist of:

The main responsibilities of the job will include:

• Aiding students from years 7-11 through their classwork on a 1:2:1 basis.
• Ensuring the students who require additional support remain focused and stay on task.
• Monitor and track progress of the children to targeted levels.
• Make sure behaviour is manged to a suitable standard.
