Teacher in SEN School

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a SEN school based in Banbury that could provide you with the progression you desire.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working with SEN such as ADHD, ASC and SEMH children as it is important for you to understand the variety of the students needs.

• Must have flexibility, strength of character and resilience.
• Must have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Must have a positive solution focused approach to challenging situations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To differentiate within the classroom to meet the needs of pupils with a wide range of abilities and specific learning difficulties.

• To liaise with your line manager to ensure the creation, consistent implementation and improvement of schemes of work so that they are accessible to pupils and provide appropriate challenges.

• To use assessment to monitor and review pupil progress and set challenging targets for them.

• To lead an UQT and/or support assistant in the delivery of your curriculum.

• To prepare pupils for public examinations.

Qualifications Required:

• Qualified teacher status.
• Education to degree level (or equivalent experience)

Additional training including Team Teach and PECS could be beneficial for this role,
