A Primary School in Coventry, is seeking a Target/Intervention Teacher to join their team in the summer term.
This is a full-time long term role starting in April 2018. The successful applicant will be conducting Intervention/Target sessions with small groups of children in Year 2 and Year 6, and on occasions also cover PPA across key stages.
Our client offers an opportunity to work alongside welcoming and supportive team, and extremely well-behaved children. They are looking for a dynamic and passionate Primary Teacher who is results driven and committed to a role for at least one term. The suitable candidate will have previous experience teaching within the National Curriculum; they will have an enthusiastic and warm personality, a high work-ethic, can-do' attitude, will work well in a team and be able to easily inspire and motivate the children.
The role will require:
* Deliver an appropriate, broad, differentiated and challenging curriculum to specific groups of pupils appropriate to their needs
* Assess, record and report on all aspects of pupil's progress and development;
* Contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment;
* Provide and/or contribute to oral and written assessments relating to individual pupils or groups of pupils, internally, with parents and outside agencies;
* Ensure high standards of behaviour so effective learning can take place, and good relationships can be formed within the school community;
* Contribute to whole school planning activities;
* To attend regular department meetings and to liaise with parents and the relevant co-ordinators to ensure that they are kept up to date with key issues regarding their children;
* To keep a detailed and accurate Teacher Planner in accordance with school policy and ensure that assessment records both written and on Department network registers are maintained up to date;
* To ensure that all classes are taught according to school policy and that National Curriculum;
Essential requirements:
* A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
* A minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience
* Very good knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
* A valid DBS on the Update Service or willing to undertake one.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Excellent teaching references.
Experience working with children with special educational needs and who have English as an additional language would be an advantage, as there is a quite high number of such children in the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
