TA with challenging behaviour experience

Job description

A large Welsh medium primary school on the outskirts of Cardiff is looking for a strong KS2 teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support in their Year 6 class. The role will be starting as soon as possible, as the school need someone urgently.

Although a TA qualification is not necessary for this role, it would be desirable. You will also need to be able to speak fluent Welsh. The class is at full capacity and there will be another teaching assistant within the class as well, however your role will be solely 1:1. The pupil has challenging behaviour, so you will need to have experience managing this before you apply for this role. You will also need:

- A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service
- Be fully registered with the Education Workforce Council
- Be able to provide two relevant references

If you do not have a DBS or EWC we will be happy to assist with this.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
