About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently in the process of recruiting Core Subject specialist TAs in Hull to work in an alternative provision rated 'Good' by OFSTED. The role will be working 5 days per week on a long term basis and would be especially open to those who have pre-existing skills in maths.

About you as the 'Ideal Candidate'

The successful candidate will have some experience working with either LAC or with SEMH children preferably on a 1:1 basis. Other useful experience such as working with challenging behaviour in a school setting or perhaps in another related profession would also be considered. Crucially the best candidates will be able to demonstrate past experiences working with challenging behaviour in young people.

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • At least a C grade in English and Maths will be essential, regardless of other additional qualifications.
  • A clean driving license with your own transport is ideal, but not strictly necessary
  • A determined and dedicated commitment to the education of young people and a passion for helping them to obtain a higher level of independence.
  • A calm manner, always keeping calm and collected under pressure with a mind to always remain in control of your emotions.
  • Be overwhelmingly committed to the welfare and safeguarding of children.
