TA General Brighton

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking new teaching assistants in ‘General Brighton’ to work in a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision assisting pupils with complex needs. The needs of attending pupils are varied, but may include:

  • Organisational Skills
  • Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Behavioural Management Skills

The Role:

Applicants will be working in a classroom supporting teachers and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils. The role will operate between 8:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday. Full time is preferred but part time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available. 

The Candidate:

Applicants must have previous experience working with complex  behaviour or challenging needs, either professionally or personally. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths (A-C) in a minimum requirement; with further education being beneficial. Additional qualifications which may be useful include: Team Teach or PECS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
