Job description

Teaching Personnel work with a Preston based Behavioural Unit which caters for specifically for pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours. The School are hoping to appoint a hard working, full time, enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who can be difficult in their behaviours. Many of the pupils in School have mental health difficulties and/or come from disadvantaged backgrounds, therefore the School are hoping to find an empathetic and understand teaching assistant.

The School are looking for full time candidates who are passionate about pursing a career in education, specifically in the SEN sector. The School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who are often harder to reach.

The candidate will ideally be Team Teach qualified, have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, be passionate about enriching the lives of those who have special educational needs and/or mental health difficulties. Please bear in mind when applying for this role that sometimes pupils at this School will display challenging behaviours which can include violent behaviours.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £9 - 10 per hour
