Support Worker - West Drayton

Are you a people-centred problem solver with an interest in supporting children with special needs?

An SEN school based in the West Drayton area for primary and secondary children with special educational needs is looking to appoint teaching assistants open to training to start immediately. Pupils within the school primarily are diagnosed with autism, severe learning difficulties, speech difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.

The school are in need of a resourceful and engaging individual able to boost pupil's confidence and interaction both educationally and socially. Your role will include promoting independence, life skills and informed choices along with delivering education/care programmes. Programmes are devised with a person-centred approach and will involve recording and accessing pupil development.

The school offers an outstanding on-going training programme, permanent contract offers along with a highly skilled and supportive staff and therapy team. The school prides itself on its holistic approach to learning and its shared passion in supportive some of the most inspirational children and young adults.

• Paid or voluntary experience in the social work and care sector

• Ability to get on with people of all ages and backgrounds

• Mental strength, to cope with challenging situations

Location: Uxbridge and West Drayton area

Role: Support Assistant (Primary and Secondary positions)

Hours & Duration: 8:30 - 4pm Monday to Friday till July 2019 as a minimum

Pay: £60 - 67.50 based on experience, references and training
