We are currently seeking an experienced support worker who is able to assist pupils in a KS3 class with autism and complex needs in a secondary school setting. These students require additional 1:1 support as they have personal care needs and are at the high functioning end of the autistic spectrum.

Ideal attributes:

  • Moving and handling training - MANDATORY
  • Previous experience working with autism
  • Supported students with complex needs and assisted with personal care
  • Proactive and engaging personality
  • Previous experience working in an SEN school/support worker background

The school is one bus trip away from Walthamstow central and is part of a multisite academy. They are looking for an individual who is always engaging and is able to meet the needs of the pupils in the classroom. As an SEN school they have state of the art facilities that are designed to improve the learning environment of the pupils.
