Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced Support Workers for employment in an established primary school supporting pupils with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) integrated in to their setting in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The post is to start as soon as possible and you will be required to work during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.

We are looking for a committed and hardworking individual who would be happy supporting challenging pupils in an education setting. You must have a working knowledge of meeting the Social Emotional and Mental Health needs of young people and a desire to take a supporting role in the classroom. The school deals with pupils that are of a vulnerable and sometimes challenging nature. You will work closely with your colleagues to create action plans for students across Key Stages 1 and 2, taking an active role in implementing a programme that positively encourages learners to overcome barriers to learning, improve their skills and ultimately gain recognised qualifications.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
