Teaching Assistant required for specialist SEN School in North Leeds

An Outstanding School in North Leeds are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker. The school provides alternative education for pupils aged 2-19, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to meet their needs.

Located just a 20 minute drive from Leeds City Centre, the school also has excellent transport links from the surrounding areas of Harrogate, York and York.

Your role will be to provide targeted intervention for pupils within the secondary base (KS3 & KS4) who may display aggression and exhibit challenging behaviour. These behaviour needs are secondary to the pupils SEN diagnoses of Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), so an understanding of the underlying issues is paramount. You will be calm and resilient and may also possess a valid Team Teach certificate or equivalent BILD accredited training.
