Support Worker Required for School in Camborne

Job description

A school in Camborne are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker. The school provides alternative education for pupils aged 5-16, all of whom have an Education Plan to meet their needs.

Your role will be to provide targeted intervention for pupils within the secondary base (KS3 & KS4) who may display aggression and exhibit challenging behaviour.

These behaviour needs are secondary to the pupils SEN diagnoses of Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), so an understanding of the underlying issues is paramount.

Things you need to qualify;

  • Full clean driving Licence
  • School based experience is preferred but not essential
  • Be calm and confident
  • Be an outside the box thinker
  • Can remain calm in stressful situations

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
