Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Rawtenstall based School who are seeking an experienced and hard working Teaching Assistant/Support Worker to start ASAP. The School is based on the outskirts of Rawtenstall, East Lancashire and pupils in this School may display difficult behaviours. The School caters for KS1/2 pupils who are no longer in mainstream education and often have various needs including; Autism, ADHD, SEMH Difficulties and ODD.

The School are hoping to appoint a hard working, empathetic and experienced Support Assistant with a passion for enriching the lives of pupils who are often disengaged from education. The School are hoping to appoint a candidate who has a background in working with adults or children with challenging behaviours and/or SEN.

The candidate must be available on a full time basis, School hours are 8.40am - 3pm Monday - Friday and candidates will be expected to work on a 1:1 and small group basis. The candidate must be looking for a long term role with a forward thinking behavioural unit.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
