Teaching Personnel are looking for full-time, permanent Support Workers who love working with children. You will be supporting SEN pupils who are both primary and secondary aged with a primary diagnosis of ASC. The school is based in Lymington, Hampshire.

The School in Lymington, Hampshire is an Ofsted-registered "Good" independent specialist school that works with both boys and girls aged 7-19 years.

The purpose of the school is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. This included providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Relevant experience is beneficial but no experience is necessary. Full training is provided and is fully supported by an experienced and dedicated team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing support within the residential home as well as classroom support
  • Personal Care Support
  • Supporting evening and weekend trips out
  • Working alongside other staff to provide the best possible care
  • Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
  • Supporting pupils with Autism & Learning Difficulties
  • Supervising pupil behaviour
  • Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & development.
  • Be able to work both within the school and off site to encourage and support their learning.
