Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a school based in Newcastle to recruit a full time Support Worker to support students with social emotional and mental health difficulties on a full time basis, to commence as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. The role will be in a specialist SEND school, working with vulnerable young people to help them turn their lives around; you will be working with the support of an extensive professional team of staff. You will be working within Key Stage 3 and 4, although we do have further opportunities to work within Primary years.

The children in the provision display extremely challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will be confident in approaching this. The client school welcomes applications from a variety of backgrounds including those from youth work or army/military, experience working with SEMH and challenging behaviour is extremely desirable. You must be a strong role model, motivated and dedicated to providing outstanding support to students and passionate making a real difference!
