Support Assistants for SEMH students - SEND school Catterick

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEMH School in Catterick to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a part time basis, working 3 days per week. The role will commence as soon as possible from application, with strong potential for a permanent contract after the initial term placement for the right candidate.

The position will involve working with a small group of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students! You will be working with children from a mix of backgrounds and a variety of further SEND including:

  • Speech and language difficulties
  • Autism
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Anxiety

You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
