Support Assistant's to work in a Special School's

Job description

We are currently looking for a support assistant to work in a special school based in Wakefield. The role will involve working with a child who have been diagnosed with Autism. Majority of the children are academically bright, however will require support socially. Speech and language experience is key and you will be required to hold interventions to increase communication.

Your role will be to support key children both in and out of the classroom, following daily schedule of activities.

This school is committed to promoting critical thinking and problem solving in their children to ensure they are recognising each child's individual talent and potential.

Shortlisting criteria include:

* Experience working with Autism and/or other SEN

* Knowledge and experience of the primary curriculum (KS 1&2)

* Willingness to be involved with extra-curricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
