Support Assistant required in Behavioural Unit

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Preston based School which provides education and support for KS3/4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD and ODD. Many of the pupils in this School will display challenging behaviours, be aggressive and/or violent and often be disengaged in lessons, therefore, candidates with experience working with children or adults who display difficult behaviours will be favoured - ideally, candidates with their Team Teach qualification will be favoured but this is not essential.

The candidate suited to this role will be available full time, be flexible enough to accept last minute work calls on the morning and be enthusiastic, hard working, empathetic and have strong classroom management skills. The candidate suited to this role will be looking for a career in education and this role may continue to becoming a permanent role.

The role will start as soon as possible, subject to references and DBS and candidates must be willing to undertake one voluntary day in School prior to the role starting.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
