Teaching Assistant Needed - Blackpool Primary School in South Shore area FY1
To work alongside a pupil in Y2 with ASC
A proven track record of working alongside children in a Primary setting is essential
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a large Primary School in Blackpool (South Shore). The school is easily accessible via public transport and also has a large car-park.
I have recently met with a Headteacher who is looking for a strong Teaching Assistant to work alongside a young boy in Y2 who is disengaged during lessons. The young boy needs extra support and the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who may has a history of working alongside children with challenging behaviour either in a school setting or a support role. The pupil struggles to socialise with other children and needs different strategies implemented in order to build self confidence and creative resources would need to be adapted to suite his needs alongside the class teacher.
The school is located in the centre Blackpool FY1 and there are a high percentage of children who arrive in school are eligible for free school meals. The role will be to start after February half-term and run until July. This will be a five day a week position covering up to 33 hours. The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort start from 8.41 per hour. You will meet with the Head and SENCO regularly to discuss the child's progress and also be involved in creating an action plan to boost attainment.
Teaching Personnel currently have another teaching assistant working in school in a KS2 Class this candidate is thoroughly enjoying their role there. From meeting with the Headteacher and being introduced to various members of staff, I can honestly say this is an excellent workplace with a welcoming atmosphere for a new member of staff.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in the above role, or equally so, if you have any friends or family members who would be suitable. We currently have a number of opportunities vacant in Blackpool and Preston - I can be contacted in the office on 01772 842154 or by email
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
