Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students in an SEND School near Leyburn, which has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. The role will commence after the February half term on a part time basis and you will need to have your own transport.

The role will involve supporting students within the classroom on a 1:1 basis, you will be working within classes of students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Each student in the school has an education health and care plan and the school caters for a variety of special educational needs including severe learning difficulties such as autism. The school has excellent facilities that support assistants will have access to within the position, including a sensory room. There is also a focus on sports within the school and they have regular visits from sports professionals to inspire the students!

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with severe learning difficulties. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality. We accept candidates from a variety of backgrounds, whether it is from education, youth work or care. Teaching Personnel can offer support assistant's competitive pay rates of £54-65 per day worked, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence in February on a part time basis for the foreseeable future.
