Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with students in an SEND School in Blyth, the role will commence at the end of January and will continue until the end of the academic year.
The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with students with severe learning difficulties across Key Stages 1 and 2 who are in need of extra support within their lessons and occasionally at break and lunch times. You will be responsible for assisting with managing and tracking student's behaviour and personal development. The school has been rated as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED and caters for students with severe learning difficulties including:
- Speech and language difficulties
- Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
- Autism
- Complex medical needs
The school has excellent facilities and has a focus on music, arts and science! Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with severe learning difficulties; however, the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth/social work, care work and graduates. The most important quality is a passion for improving the lives of young people and a kind and nurturing personality. You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds, who are well placed to enrol you onto your desired courses.
Teaching Personnel can offer teaching assistant's competitive pay rates of £270 - £350 per week, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence from the end of January, registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you with access to extensive further work opportunities.
