Support Assistant for PMLD - SEND school Bedale

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students in an SEND School in Bedale, which has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. The role will commence as soon as possible on a full time, long term basis.

The role will involve supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties between the ages of 11 and 16. The students need extra support in their school environment and there will be a small element of personal care involved within the role. The school has excellent facilities that support assistants will have access to within the position, including a sensory room. You may be supporting students with difficulties including:

  • Physical impairments
  • Complex health needs
  • Speech and language difficulties

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with profound and multiple learning difficulties. This role is ideal for candidates with care work back grounds who are looking to move their career into an educational field. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality.

Teaching Personnel can offer support assistant's competitive pay rates of £270 - £350 per week, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence in February on a full time basis until the end of the academic year, however registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you with access to extensive further work opportunities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
