Supply Teaching Assistants

Teaching Personnel are searching for Supply Teaching Assistants required to start after February Half Term in the Nottingham area (NG2) working within a special needs primary provision. Working across all key stages, you will provide imperative support to students with Special Educational Needs.

This role involves working with children aged between 3-18 years old with moderate to severe learning difficulties in all key stages across the Nottingham area. Teaching Assistants provide imperative support to students to ensure their development. This rewarding role allows you to create your own diary. The beauty of being on supply is the flexibility to choose your own work diary.

The ideal candidate would have;

  • HLTA qualification (Desirable not essential)
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs personally or professionally
  • Valid DBS on update system (Desirable not essential)
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding policies is paramount (training provided)
  • Experience in a care setting
  • Skilled in behaviour management
  • An ability to communicate effectively
  • The ability to differentiate tasks based on the individual needs of the child
  • Experience working within children
  • GCSE Maths and English graded C+
  • A passion for education
  • The ability to inspire and engage students across all subjects

Any experience supporting young people or adults with special educational needs would be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
