Are you looking for flexible supply teaching during this new academic year?

Are you located in the Warrington, St Helens, Widnes, Wigan or even Trafford area able to access secondary schools in the Warrington area?

If so, please see below for details on how to apply to become a general supply teacher:

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of secondary schools in the Warrington areas of Grappenhall, Penketh, Great Sankey and Padgate to name just a small selection and are therefore looking to register teachers that are available for day to day general supply cover. This line of work is very flexible and will suit a variety of teachers including teachers who are:

  • Looking for your next long term career teaching position and are looking to gain an introduction to a new school
  • Interested in flexible teaching on a part time, perhaps temporary basis
  • Looking to teach without the additional responsibility of planning and marking
  • Teachers only available for a specific period of time and are looking for flexible work as a result

Working with a number of the secondary schools in the local area including a multi academy trust, we have found we require numerous supply teachers for day to day/short term cover. We are able to offer work on as regular a basis as you are available from 1 – 2 days each week or 5 days each week dependent upon school requirement and personal availability.

As a general supply teacher, you will have the benefit of being fully flexible in your availability, only wishing to work on certain days or every day depending on personal preference. You will have access to an online diary which you can manage and receive calls whenever available. Any teachers who are multi registered (i.e able to receive work via a number of teaching agencies) are encouraged to apply to give them more chances of securing work teaching. There is the benefit of a variety of work covering lessons within your subject specialism or just providing general cover as well gaining consistent cover within the same school for consistency.

Highlights of the general supply teacher position:

  • Competitive pay ranging between GBP95 - GBP120 per day depending on the school and cover required (subject specialism)
  • Specialist and general cover teachers required
  • Temporary, part time and full time opportunities at a variety of secondary schools in the Warrington area
  • Multiple requests for full days, part days and specific lessons required by secondary schools dependent upon availability

Given the location of the school, there are multiple options for teachers that travel by public transport, including buses and train with both servicing a number of the secondary schools we work with. For those that travel by car and can access these areas easily, will find the majority of schools have provisions in place for secure parking.

If you are a qualified teacher of any experience level and are looking for general supply teaching then apply now below for immediate consideration and a phone call back to discuss your individual situation. If you are registered with an agency and looking for further opportunities or just looking for casual supply work then apply now with your CV.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
