A mainstream Primary School in Dorchester is searching for a Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a Year 4 class throughout the day.
The school is located in Dorchester and caters for children in the local area between 4 to 11 years.
It has excellent public transport links and indoor/outdoor learning resources.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help the Class Teacher with lesson planning and delivery. With the students, you will provide 1-1 support or will work in small groups to ensure they access and engage with the curriculum.
You will need to be confident and comfortable providing learning support in core subjects, such as English and Maths, and also provide emotional/social support where needed.
It is a full-time, long-term role. You will work from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
The school wants to meet suitable candidates for a meet and greet from Monday 28th February 2022.
What do you need?
- Previous experience working or volunteering with children or vulnerable adults (minimum 3 months)
- Punctuality, reliability and consistency
- Availability to begin full-time role as soon as possible (notice periods of 2 weeks or less accepted)
- Desire to work in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
