Teaching Personnel are actively looking to recruit passionate Newly Qualified or Fully Qualified Teachers to work on a supply basis within Primary schools in Cardiff, The Vale, Newport and/or surroundings, and get the opportunity to be offered a place on our selective Guaranteed Work Scheme.

- Not having to manage relationships with multiple agencies
- To minimise your payroll and tax administration
- To ensure you are constantly promoted to schools when you are available for work
- This can often result in you being matched with a school that you go on to work at on a longer term or even permanent basis (if this is what you are seeking).
To be eligible for our Guaranteed Work Scheme you must :
- Have access to your own car/mode of transport
- Be a Qualified Teacher with a British QTS
- Be comfortable teaching across the Foundation Phase and Juniors
- Be available 4 or 5 days per week
- Willing to go the extra mile in our schools and always ensure marking is complete before leaving
- Have two up to date references which reflect teaching ability
Daily supply teaching is ideal for qualified teachers who are looking for flexibility within their working week and enjoy experiencing different areas, schools, year groups and classes. You will be contacted on a weekly and/or daily basis (at you preference) to check on your availability for the upcoming week and which days you will be available to work. We also organise advanced bookings for schools (for example maternity/paternity cover, short term sickness, course cover, etc.) in which you will know about the booking in advance and will be able to organise your diary ahead.
The supply daily pay rates usually average between £85 and £100 based on the school and of course on your background, and you can even make up to £110 in a full classroom role with the full flexibility of agency work!
You must be a well organised, efficient and reflective practitioner with high expectations of child development, learning and behaviour.
Applicants must :
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide two professional or character references
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
- Be available to start on short notice
- Be living in South Wales and/or have plans to move to South Wales in the near future and/or be willing to travel to South Wales
