Job description

Teaching Personnel's Cambridge team are currently looking for qualified secondary school teachers who either live in, or are happy to travel to, St Neots in Cambridgeshire.

Our Guaranteed work scheme gives you the guarantee of being paid each week, whilst keeping the flexibility of day-to-day/short term supply work to suit your desired work schedule. Teaching Personnel has recently secured an agreement with a successful Multi-Academy Trust which will result in the opportunity for regular cover work anywhere from 1 day to 5 days per week from September 2019. For teachers who receive excellent feedback from their initial work at the school a Guaranteed Work Scheme (GWS) will be on offer. The GWS provides those teachers accepted onto the scheme with that all-important guarantee of income, along with regular work!

Simply agree with your Recruitment Consultant which and how many days per week you are available and wish to commit to. In committing to work exclusively through Teaching Personnel on those specified days, we will guarantee to pay you for every day less one (per week), even if no work is available! In order to be paid for not working you will need to have fulfilled the terms and conditions of the scheme which will be explained to you in your face to face registration meeting.

The Benefits of the Guaranteed Work Scheme:

  • Assurance that you will receive work in schools
  • Guarantees that you will receive income for at least the number of days (less one) that you make yourself available every week under the terms of the scheme
  • Means that you don't have to manage relationships with multiple agencies
  • Minimises your payroll and tax administration
  • Ensures you are constantly promoted to schools when you are available for work.

The successful applicant would possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A positive can-do and flexible working attitude
  • Recent experience working in secondary schools
  • Relevant UK secondary school teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT or equivalent)
  • Happy to cover across all subjects on a general cover basis, alongside any subject specialism
  • Available for work on the morning and take a call at short notice if needed

With our recent MAT partnership we are seeking passionate, qualified secondary school teachers who are looking for daily supply work in Cambridgeshire. 2 of the main MAT schools are located in St Neots, easily accessible from Cambridge, Huntingdon, Bedford and surrounding areas. If you are a secondary school teacher looking for work in these areas, please apply ASAP so your registration can be completed in time for September!
