Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a partnership school in Caerphilly who are looking for a cover supervisor. The ideal candidate will either come from a strong Teaching Assistant background or will be someone with a specialist subject area potentially looking to enrol on a PGCE course. The school is specifically looking for individuals with excellent classroom and behaviour management. Historically, candidates who have come from coaching or tutoring backgrounds have done really well.

The role

  • Cover Supervisor to KS3 & 4 pupils
  • Working in a challenging secondary school environment
  • Situated in Caerphilly
  • Immediate start date
  • Full time hours
  • Up to £325 a week
  • Opportunity to gain a full time permanent contract in the school depending on performance.

As a cover supervisor you will be expected to delegate work set by the teacher in their absence. You will be expected to maintain classroom behaviour and ensure work is completed. Although you will be supported by teaching assistants and other faculty members, you are there to showcase excellent classroom management.
