Job description

We are look for staff who are flexible that can provide strong quality cover across Secondary schools in the area. As a Supply teacher we look for key qualities for the wide range of schools we work with.

Responsibilities and Duties of a Supply Teacher

  • You must be able to confidently support classes covering multiple subjects.
  • Provide a strong lesson with the cover that has been set.
  • For long term sickness, provide planning and marking in your specialised subject.
  • To be able to adapt your teaching skills to suit each pupils needs.
  • You will be a good team player with good behaviour management skills when required
  • Have excellent knowledge of the current curriculum

Qualifications and Skills

  • Teachers: Ideally have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS), Have recent secondary/ FE teaching experience in the UK to be familiar with the current curriculum - up to Key Stage 5 and Use positive and effective behaviour management strategies
  • Cover Supervisors: Previous experience in an education setting, have the confidence to cover a class up to 30 pupils, Degree/Master is desired.
  • Learning Support Assistants: Level 1 and Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent), Safeguarding awareness qualification and any other certificates/ courses within Special Educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
