Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience in working with children with moderate learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviour. You will be required to support children on a 1:1 basis or across small class groups to help children achieve their learning aims and targets. Naturally, you will be engaging and have a want to work with children and watch them reach their full learning potential. Our client school has excellent support structure in place along with fantastic resources to aid with the children's learning. You will be provided with regular support and training to ensure that you are developing further skills as a valued member of staff. As a specialist teaching assistant you will be enthusiastic and caring with the ability to relate to young people. Prior experience working with Special Education Needs is desirable, but not essential. Our school pride themselves on their staff being the right fit for the school but more importantly the right fit for the student.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong ability and skills to keep students involved and "on track".
  • Excellent support and motivation.
  • Previous experience working with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties.
  • Flexibility to adapt to unique situations and requirements.
  • An outstanding track record being reliable, professional, hardworking and punctual.
  • Hold a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one.
  • 2 recent references that can be verified.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
