Sports Teaching Assistant - York
Are you a recent Sports Graduate, or qualified Sports Coach? Do you have experience coaching children under 16? We have a fantastic opportunity working at an alternative provision in York. The School is Ofsted graded 'Good' and is dedicated to providing education to individuals outside of mainstream education. Whether you have direct experience or not, this could be a suitable position if you are looking to begin a career in the education sector!
Role:
- You will work with vulnerable young individuals
- Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage students
- Behavioural management
- Child development
- Coaching a variety of different sports in-line with National Curriuculum PE lessons
- Age range 5-16 year olds
- Monday to Friday, Term Time only 0830-1530
Ideal requirements:
- A degree in sports coaching or experience in a coaching environment
- Good communication skills
- Behaviour Management skills or training such as Team Teach
- Autism Awareness Training
- De-Escalation techniques
