The Role:

As a recent Sports Graduate or qualified Sports Coach, you will be working as a Teaching Assistant with Key Stage 3 & 4 students who have been excluded from, or are unable to access mainstream education, based in York. This position offers the flexibility of either full time or part time hours, supporting vulnerable students. As well as supporting within lessons and helping to engage students, there is the opportunity to lead PE lessons and help students achieve their potential. Whether you have direct experience in Schools or not, this could be a suitable position if you are looking to begin a career in Education.

The School is a an Ofsted graded Good, welcoming school in York, that has an inclusive approach to teaching and learning. As an alternative provision, they look at every child's individual needs and put in place the relevant support. With some students displaying challenging behaviour, ADHD and SEMH, it is essential that you follow the School's positive reinforcement behaviour policy and work alongside other Education professionals such as Social Workers, CAMHS and the School's Senior Leadership Team.

About Teaching Personnel:

You will be paid on a weekly basis through our own PAYE payroll and will be on a minimum rate of GBP10.00 per hour.
