Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant - Bedlington

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a large faith school in Bedlington - the school is looking for confident graduates looking for more experience within the education sector.

There are a number of potential roles available including that of Learning Support Assistant or the role of Cover Supervisor (most suited to aspiring teachers).

The roles will be a combination of working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis as well as supporting the teacher with general classroom management. You will also have a big sports focus involved in your role which will include setting up and supporting P.E lessons across all Secondary year groups as well as taking control of extra curricular sporting activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Sports
  • Experience working with children/young people

The Ideal Candidate

  • A years Sports coaching experience in a chosen or multiple sports
  • Classroom based experience would be an advantage
  • A passionate individual, that can hit the ground running
  • Any specific sports coaching badge/qualification would be a bonus
