Job description

Due to a restructure within the cover team our client secondary school in Oldham is currently seeking a Sports Graduate to join their faculty. This is an opportunity for any aspiring secondary teacher to gain an introduction into a secondary school.

  • Both full time and Part time opportunities available
  • Get paid in line with your previous experience £50-£60 a day

Our client secondary school is a well established mixed comprehensive in Oldham, which is heavily oversubscribed across all years with over 1200 students enrol from the local area. The school has on-site parking for drivers, along with a metro link station close by for those coming from Manchester, Rochdale and Tameside. The school are well known for the high levels of support they offer all their staff.

Requirements;

  • Must have previous experience working with young people aged 11-16
  • Be able to build positive working relationships with students
  • Have good behaviour management skills and classroom presence

The school are looking to appoint a Sports Graduate due to their outgoing nature and previous sports coaching experience with young people. As a member of the Cover team you will be responsible for covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students stay on task by promoting positive behaviour and providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the progress of all students.
