Teaching Personnel is looking for a Sports Graduate in Scarborough, who has experience working with children or young adults with SEN or Challenging Behaviour. You will work within our local SEN and SEMH schools, providing 1:1 and small group support. Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a number of Schools in Scarborough and North Yorkshire, including Special Needs, Primary and Secondary. Sports Graduates have proven to be able to effectively work with 'at risk' children and support those going into crisis. Not only will you be assisting with PE lessons, there is the potential to lead classes and provide sports sessions to children struggling to focus and engage. Your other responsibilities will including assisting the teacher with the delivery of all national curriculum lessons and providing tailored 1:1 intervention to pupils identified as requiring additional support, or working behind expected levels.

 As the ideal candidate, you must:

• Have a Sports Degree or previous Teaching Assistant or Sports Coaching experience
• Be able to remain calm under pressure
• Have experience of working with young people
• Have an understanding of supporting those with special needs or behavioural challenges
• Live in or be able to commute to the Scarborough area
• Be available to start work in September 2020 or October 2020
