Sports Coach required in Preston Behavioural Unit

Job description

Teaching Personnel work exclusively with a Preston based School which caters for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, ADHD, Autism, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School is smaller than average and caters for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education for a number of reasons.

The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and the School hours are roughly 8.40am - 3.20pm Monday - Thursday and 8.40am - 2.30pm on a Friday. The School are hoping to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a background in Sports and someone who can deliver sports coaching relatively regularly. The School are hoping to appoint someone within the month but they can wait until the February half term for the right candidate.

The role will require you to split your time between the PE department and other classes. Some of your time will be spent working with pupils who display challenging behaviours in their lessons to help with behaviour management and the rest of your time will likely be spent delivering sports and assisting in the PE department.
