Sports Coach

Sports coaches or individuals of a sporting background located in Doncaster or the surrounding areas – we need you!

Are you an experienced sports coach looking to make the transition into an education based role in a Primary, Secondary or SEN school? Are you looking for employment as of September? As a sports coach you will have any desirable and transferable skills for in the classroom. You will prove to be a positive role model and can relate to many students through shared hobbies and interests. Some students may struggle with conventional school ways and therefore adopt a different approach to learning. Teaching Personnel have established that in some cases, particularly with young males, that someone with a sports background makes the perfect 1:1 support mentor for an individual who may be struggling to apply themselves in the classroom. Sharing common hobbies and interests and adapting learning in a way that engages the disengaged learner is both challenging but rewarding and therefore we require strong willed applicants who are prepared to go the extra mile.

We are looking to hear from sports coaches who are both experienced in and are looking to experience school based environments. This exciting prospect could also prove to be a vital stepping stone into teaching through gaining invaluable school based experience whilst being paid to support your schools direct or PGCE applications.
