Teaching Personnel are recruiting for one of our partner schools in the Chorley area who are looking to appoint a hard working, enthusiastic, resilient and experienced Sports Coach/Teaching Assistant. This role is NOT a full time Sports Coaching role, your time will be split between delivering sports, helping out in the PE department and working in class with the pupils in a range of subjects. The School cater for pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Learning Difficulties and Conduct Disorder. The School are looking to appoint a full time member of staff, ideally from a sports background but also with experience supporting pupils who are challenging in their behaviours.
The candidate must be available to work Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm and candidates must be willing to work with pupils who display a range of behaviours including verbal and physical aggression. Candidates must be understanding and empathetic to the needs of the pupils whilst remaining strong in their behaviour management skills and professional at all times.
The role will start from the 4th November ideally on a full time basis, the candidate must also be willing to undertake their Team Teach qualification.
