Are you a Sports Coach aspiring to be a PE teacher? Have you got previous experience working with secondary aged students (11-16 years)?

If so, our client secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a Sports Coach on a flexible basis to join their cover team. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience prior to starting their teacher training course.

About the school

Situated in the semi rural setting of Littleborough, Rochdale the school is easily accessible via the M62 and M60 and for those on public transport there Is a train and bus station a 15 minute walk from the school.This is a larger than average mixed 11-16 secondary school with over 1300 students currently on roll, the school caters for the local community with the majority of students being of White British Heritage.

About the Role

The school are currently seeking a Sports Coach due to their outgoing and confident nature, you will be responsible for supervising PE as well as a variety of lessons in the absence of the teacher - all of the work will be pre-planned and set for you. When cover is not needed you will be required to support students on a 1:1 basis who need additional support and report back to the classroom teacher on the performance of all students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
