Teaching Personnel are proud to be working on behalf of a Specialist Education Provision, near Attleborough, to appoint 3 x Teaching Assistants.

Due to the rural location of our partner school, you MUST drive and have your own transport. The school is easily commutable from Attleborough, Banham, Thetford, Diss, Wymondham, Stowmarket, Norwich, Beccles and surrounding villages/towns. 

The Role

You will be working with pupils aged 6-16 years, who are statemented with Specific Learning Difficulties and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health). The successful applicants will be playing a key role in ensuring pupils stay engaged in their learning as well as encouraging them to take part in class activities.Expect to manage challenging behaviors on a daily basis and support class teachers with lesson preperation. 

Working in Special Educational Needs, no two days will be the same with opportunities to work 1:1, in small groups or larger classes with SEN pupils.

Some duties will include:

  • Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned to
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
  • Managing behavior
  • Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher

Working Hours

  • You must be available to work from 8.30am until 3.30pm.
  • Full-time and part-time positions available (2 days per week to 5 days per week)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
