Position: Speech Therapist 

Location: Twickenham, Richmond

Salary: GBP20-25 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Start: ASAP

Required for: Mondays to Fridays from September 2020 - July 2021 minimally 

Suitable for: Band 6 or above Speech Therapists 

 

About the job:

Our special school in Twickenham are looking to appoint a Speech Therapist for a two-part role which will focus on planning and delivering speech therapy for children with speech and language needs and establishing a whole school approach to language development.

The school are looking to appoint an experienced Speech and Language Therapist on Band 6 or above who is confident leading and able to hit the ground running. The role is full-time basis and would be ideal for those seeking longer term and permanent opportunities. 

About the special school (Richmond):

This school is a unique specialist school meeting the needs of children with speech, language and communication difficulties. It is situated in Richmond with two sites in Twickenham, West London for children and young people from the ages of 4 to 19. The school recently opened in 2019 with a secondary department and are looking to complete the expansion of their primary department by September 2021.

  • Primary and Secondary
  • Ages 10 to 16 years currently
  • Speech, language and communication needs, autism and social and emotional needs
  • Girls and boys
  • Small classes with a high adult to child ratio

This special school are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist who is:

  • Qualified with RCSLT membership, ASLTIP membership and/or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), 
  • Working within Band 6 or above
  • Experienced planning and delivering speech therapy for children (ideally in an educational setting)
  • Available full-time Mondays to Fridays from September 2020
