Speech and Language Therapist
Are you a Speech and Language Therapist with experience of working with Complex Needs? Are looking for your next opportunity to work in Merton?
A newly redeveloped and rebuilt, Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school is looking for new additions to their staffing team.
The school is a nationally recognised day school for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 19 years. They provide an exceptional learning environment for a broad spectrum of pupils who fall within the 'Complex and Moderate Learning Difficulties with Autism' designation.
They boast a broad and balanced curriculum, in partnership with multiple therapeutic services, which support and challenge their students at appropriate levels, so that they can reach their potential and go on to enjoy meaningful adult lives.
As a speech and language therapist you'll treat children on site who have various levels of speech, language and communication problems, or difficulties in swallowing, drinking or eating. You will also have the support of 2 other assistants to work with the range of ages across school.
As a member of their team, they will expect the successful speech and language therapist to maintain and instil their proudly high aspirations and expectations for all pupils.
You will;

- Help pupils to become confident individuals living fulfilling lives
- Support pupils to make a successful transition into adulthood, be this employment, further education or training

- Have effective communication with all parents/carers and other partners recognise, celebrate and record the achievements of all

Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience working in a similar School setting, or evidence of strong Behaviour Management
- A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel
